about

This is the second single from our upcoming EP (release date 30th September)

lyrics

I stare at the sea and I dare it to lap back up at me
A cowardly fight that I'm secretly hoping to lose, hoping the blues and greens will comfort me, but understandably, they're not there,
and all of the fire I had in me darkens so I sit back quietly

Pastel blues melt away into pools made of grey, it takes two to comfort me
Call me wild but I think when my whites should be pink it is them who'll come for me
It is them who'll come for me, it is them

Because no matter how hard I try, my life unfolds in Black & White
Candy floss skies turn grey at the sides before me
And the sunshine, the birds, the bees, they laugh at me hysterically
as if to say you're not good enough for our quality

And what if I told I didn't want to see them anyway?
The silver of moons every evening a different shade of grey
The moon it sympathises with me, it opens up my eyes to see those greens of grass, the blues of glass, but I can't help it I just sit back quietly

Pastel blues melt away into pools made of grey, it takes two to comfort me
Call me wild but I think when my whites should be pink it is them who'll come for me
It is them who'll come for me, it is them

Because no matter how hard I try, my life unfolds in Black & White
Candy floss skies turn grey at the sides before me
And the sunshine, the birds, the bees, they laugh at me hysterically
as if to say you're not good enough for our quality (x 2)
